3D shape Extruder: Lighting
by Scott Geersen on Feb 14, 2008 at 2:05:46 am

Hi Guys,
So I watched the tutorial video on shape extruder, still haven't watched the "Studying Shape Extruder" video, perhaps the answer is in there...

Could someone kindly tell me, is there a way to have the edges of the shape (the depth) react to light? It's either a solid colour or solid gradient, whereas I would expect some faces to be lighter and some darker.
I suspect because the "extrusion" is made up of many "virtual" layers, that the shading of faces will not work, but I am hoping for a workaround.

Thanks,
Scott.
