I think they'll react quickly enough, but I think the response will be like the doctor in an old joke:

PATIENT (bending his elbow painfully): "Doctor, doctor, it hurts when I do that!
DOCTOR: "Then don't do that."

Apple sells Final Cut Pro, Motion, Shake, Soundtrack Pro, etc., all of which are in direct competition with Adobe products.

If the new version of Quicktime messes up those APPLE products, they'll do something about it right away, you bet! But if it affects just ADOBE products, Apple may not have the same incentive to get a fix going, and they'll simply say, "Don't use it."
