Music import into AE CS3

I have read the threads about "no sound" in After Effects... I am still confused.

Maybe this is a "protected music" issue.

When I make my own recording in QT Pro, or bring in some sound from an "unprotected"
source, the RAM Preview with sound works, the waveform works, the audio displays. Cool.

When I import music from CDs I purchased, it also works fine.

When I try to bring in music from iTunes, it's a bust. I have used Streamclip converter, exported as .AIFF and imported this, reconverted to .MOV and imported that, and no sound
whatsoever. I haven't tried burning a disc then importing that .AIF.

I'm guessing that importing music directly from iTunes purchase is just not possible. Can anyone confirm this?
