that and the thread you gave me are very helpful. i'm not concerned with final cut...we don't use it. we aren't an editing department, more of an art department. we do have final cut 5. i may or may not install it. if i do, it's no biggie if it doesn't work.

i'm on vacation for the holidays so if when i come back we still haven't heard from adobe, i'm just going to install leopard and deal with the outcome.
