HDV Import problems
by

My friend captured the footage from a Canon HV20 in Premiere Pro 1.5 (he had to download an HDV plugin from Adobe to do this)
I then tried to import that footage into AE but keep getting an error message that says "No Such AVI Compressor" (I downloaded and installed the Adobe plugin but it did nothing... I think it's just for a PP capture profile)
I've searched the archives but can't seem to find a solution for this. Is there one that doesn't involve converting the footage to another format by using a third party software?
thanks
