ae7 Ram Preview Woes

anybody else having problems with ram preview?
It works fine the first 5 or 6 plays, then I can only get a still frame,
alhtough it scrubs ok.
Purge doesn't help. I have to cut out and dump prefs.
Still adjusting the new interface.
