Josh SmithExternal Monitor Question
by on Jul 21, 2012 at 4:35:26 pm

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding using a mid-2010 MacBook Pro 15" as an external RAM preview monitor running off my iMac mid-2011 whilst using After Effects.

Ideally, it would be great if I could hook the two up via FireWire or something, so that when I hit the RAM preview button in After Effects on the iMac, it plays back full screen on the MacBook Pro.

I understand that you can use an external video monitor using the Video Preview settings in preferences, but can you set up something similar using a MacBook as the external monitor?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Josh.
