Daniel ElderStop Motion Question | After Effects or Photoshop?
by on Jun 30, 2012 at 2:28:57 pm

I have a music video that I'm beginning to edit and am doing something that I've never done before.

For the shoot, we harnessed the singer up with a rock climbing harness and rope and pulled her up to make it look like she is levitating )http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/levitation-photography/ and that looked great. So the setting was in a lush, green landscape, and we did one movement that is similar to the "Matrix" floating gun battle scene, but only laterally (no 360). I'm wondering what the best tool will be to remove (erase or mask) the rope during these movements. My first inclination is to use after effects and mask the movement and then add the second layer withe the exact same movement right below that. But not sure if this is the best technique to use?

Any thoughts? let me know if I need to clarify this more?

Thanks!
Daniel
