You can tear the comp panel off and drag it onto a second computer display. Cmd- will maximize the panel to the screen size.
If that's what you're after, then the DVI/SDI adapter would work, but it is limited to standard video resolutions. If you're working at 1920x1200 or higher (recommended, since the panel itself will still occupy some screen space) you'll need regular ol' DVI.
