Error (-128) in Quicktime

Error (-128) in Quicktime

Hello,

I keep coming across a problem with an exported movie file, that says "an unknown error occurred, code (-128)" each time I try and open it in Quicktime.

This file also doesn't seem to open in any other media player/converter like VLC, ffMpeg, Mpeg Streamclip.

I've presumed it could be a codec problem, or that it is corrupted...but
the file doesn't have problems on other systems, and I've copied it over
a couple times.

Does anyone know what this (-128) code is?
Has anybody come across a similar problem before?

I would appreciate any input!!

P.S. Another separate media file from the same source and which has the same conversion format didn't seem to have a problem on my system.
