nothing wrong with QNAP or any NAS, but not for playback of multiple video systems. The problem with any NAS that has a single ethernet connection to the NAS box is that you simply don't have the bandwidth to play back video from all of these systems from the NAS. There are lots of NAS (as you see here on this forum) that DO have the bandwidth - because they use ethernet link aggregation, Fibre, 10Gig ethernet, or
Infiniband. But a single point ethernet connection for the central storage device (like QNAP or Drobo) is just not fast enough to accomplish what you want.
The price you got for Facilis seems very low - if that is a real price, I would grab it.
