MetaSAN OS X (x86): 10.4.11 compatibility?

Does anyone have any information about the recent OS X 10.4.11 update, and if it has any compatibility issues with MetaSAN/LAN. There are a lot of other updates that rely on this OS point release: Quicktime, iTunes, the lates Pro Apps update which addresses several Final Cut Studio bugs and adds new features. More info here.

Here's another question: does MetaSAN actually look for an OS Version string ("10.4.10", etc.) as a compatibility check? I'm just wondering if things will work, or if it's an arbitrary check.

I'm sure the engineers are all hard at work on a Leopard update; is it safe to upgrade MetaSAN machines?
