External Mic not playing back in playback or in Preview window in Premiere CS5

Hi,

When I plug an external mic (wireless lav) into my HVX200a, I can hear the audio fine in my headphones both in standby and while recording. But, when I go to playback the clip, I can only hear the camera mic in my headphones.
When I import the clips into Premiere, I once again can only hear the camera mic when I preview the clip. It isn't until I drop the clip into the timeline that my external mic audio comes back to life. I know that the camera mic and external audio are on separate audio tracks, how can I get to hear all the tracks all the time, or at least the ones I really wanna hear?
