I believe the life cycle is based on recording to the cardonce a day to 100% for 5 years. That would mean 365 x 7 = 2555 days of recording. If you only use the card once a week you could expect 49 years of service :) My sense is for most users these cards will last longer than you will need them. Who knows what storage technology will be announced next week? I believe the cards post a warning in the viewfinder as they approach their end-of-days.
