I just bought and watched your teach me how dvd on the HVX 200. I have a question in regards to the master ped and detail coring. I have done a few tests. I film with the camera with and without the redrock micro outfit.
Anyway if you plus on the master ped settings then does the noise level go down? On detail coring I would think it is better to go negative on the settings if you want less noise.
All I know is that I want less noise. I like the film look but want the image to be cleaner. Are their any other settings that can be adjusted for less noise.
Thanks,
Stephen"
I'm not Gary but I can tell you the best way to get less noise is to add more lighting to your shots and stop down your f-stop. Also make sure you have gain completely switched off. Nothing beats a good production monitor as well to see what you're getting especially in terms of shadow noise. Gary will hopefully chime in his ideas for you as well.
