I don't know what this means. The system delivers more resolution in 1080 mode than it does in 720 mode, so how would the CCDs be more optimized for 720?
Granted, 1080 mode doesn't deliver a huge res boost over 720 mode, but -- hey, if you want what the system can deliver, why not get all that it can deliver? 1080 is higher res and less compressed than 720, on an HVX200.
