hpx 500 micon error NIGHTMARE
by wherewolf on Nov 12, 2007 at 12:54:47 pm

Was on a shoot this weekend and got a micon error on my camera as a card went from recording to slot 3 over to slot 4. A message to turn off the camera appeared, and I had to REMOVE THE BATTERY to get the thing to turn off. CRAZY.

When I powered it back up, my footage had a "grey clip of death" on it, which
I assume is non-recoverable. I continued shooting, and it happened again when the slot went from 3 to 4. I quit using slot 4, and all was fine.

I did some tests this weekend, and I definitely have some issues with slot 4. I'll call Panny today and see what the problem is. This is NOT what I wanted to experience with a camera that I've had for a whopping three weeks.

If anyone out there has had this problem, please post, as I'm afraid it's gonna happen to more of us.

For what it's worth, I was shooting 1080i 60 NDF. Camera was in "film" mode.

Any help appreciated.
