[Skelmose TV] "Someone told me that you could get a P2 card with firewire out. Then you should be able to use standard firewire disks to record your MXF files. Do not know the manufactor of the card - someone else ?"

You might be referrring to the Cineporter, but that isn't firewire out. It is a two card slot solution into the p2 card slots and records to an hard drive configured to receive native streams.
