It is Panasonic's equipment. Apple isn't to blame for they write OS software, a few applications and make computers. It would be very nice if Panasonic would make a SINGLE card reader that connected via USB 2.0 (to be off the same bus as the firewire drive you archive to) that would be relatively cheap. This would allow users to connect the device to a TOWER or iMac as well.
