I have yet to try this myself (haven't been able to shoot enough since I got my camera) but I thought this might happen. I would suggest (and this will take a while) putting your cut in a 10 bit timeline, change your render settings to high precision YUV and render, then export that to final touch. You will have shove shove everything down a pixel as you will be going from 720x480 (DV50) to 720x486 (D1 uncompressed). Try it with a couple or three clips first and see if it works better for you. When you say fuzzy, what do you mean? I have no experience with Final Touch but can't wait to get my hands on it. Let me know what you find as I am totally curious as to how this is all going to work out.
