OK Jan and Barry...thank you. I stand corrected...happily so. I thought that DVCPRO 50 has akin to 8-bit uncompressed and I worked with 8-bit and needed the FW-800 drive. I worked once with DVCPRO-50, and my FW drive didn't work, I had to us the secondary internal.
I guess it was my experience only. Glad to know reality is otherwise.
The project is going well, albiet slow. Soooooo much footage. And the P2 cards breaking it up into several small clips doesn't help. Nor to the fact that I have NINE BATTLE SCENES.
Ah well...it looks great, and that's all that matters.
OH! We will be giving a demo of the P2 workflow at the next LAFCPUG meeting...March 22. Be there if you happen to live in LA...or near LA.
