It doesn't matter what the imager is, video has to be vertically filtered to stop interlaced twitter if displayed on a CRT. Most cameras that shoot progressive allow you to turn off the filtering on progressive images if you're, say, going for film out, or are never going to display on a CRT. Toke's question is a good one.
