I was hoping someone would have suggestions, but I continued my search anyways. I actually found out that since my t1i has hdmi, all I have to do is find a projector that has hdmi, which is essentially all of them. But the problem comes down to finding a portable projector that has hdmi. I thought it was a lost cause, but it seems like there are a few companies that do make them. Optoma is one and Aaxa tech is the other. From reading reviews on optoma, its pretty mixed but aaxa tech products seem to have good reviews across the board. Most of their projectors are LED based so I wouldn't have to change the bulb for years and years.
