To my thinking, asset management is about 90% self discipline and 10% processes and tools.

That said, I've always used Filemaker Pro when I need to track complex projects.

It's been around forever. It's cross platform. It's semi-relational which means it can grow and expand but requires much shorter a learning curve than a full relational database approach.

That said - the best tool in this area will ALWAYS be one that you can become so comfortable with that you USE IT consistantly.

Again, it's that 90% self discipline to WORK THE SYSTEM that makes it a go or no-go solution.

My 2 cents anyway.
