Epson has very good quality, but the print heads are not replaceable (only the ink) and in my experience if you use aftermarket ink, it will eventually clog and basically ruin your printer (if you don't use the printer frequently (daily) enough to keep the ink flowing).

HP printers are very good, maybe not quite up to the epson quality, but very very good, and do have replaceable ink heads. So that should be a good consideration.

Honestly though, if you're printing normal sized photos, and not doing anything really unusual, I have personally found it much easier to send the images to my local drug store. (I use Walgreens) They have very good online upload tools, prints are cheap, and they come out of the same machine that does the photo processing, so they are very good quality. The images are almost always ready by the time you can get in the car and drive to the store. I haven't tried Cosco, but I hear they have very good quality and inexpensive photo processing as well, via simple online upload.

Hope that helps,

-Jason W
