I recommend the Hitachi Hard drives, called G-Raid Drives, MyBook Studio Drives (use western digital hard drives) or external drives that use Samsung Hard drives.

I have had the Seagate, Buffalo and Maxtor hard drives crash on me several times and these that I have mentioned have worked for me well and in reviews have made many people happy.
