If I understand your question right, the easiest way would be to find the area you want and then do a screen capture (on a PC, hit the "Print Scrn" button on your keyboard and then open Photoshop, Paint, or your image editor of choice and then paste what you just copied).

Just so you know, Google's maps and satellite imagery aren't totally "free"; you should ask permission if this is for commercial use.
