Re: I've had Power 2000 problems

Yes Ed, the word calibrate had left me for a moment when I wrote my last post (only have about two brain cells left and to get a thought out they have to click just right).

I calibrate all my rechargeable batteries from time to time. The Power 2000 for the D2X sometimes works fine. When it doesn't I have found that calibrating it may help (what I called discharge/recharge). Sometimes calibrating doesn't do any good either. I put it back in my camera and it won't even power the LCD display on top of the camera. The D2X somehow just doesn't recognize the battery at all during these episodes.

What I have found and the TIP I offered the original poster is that when the battery isn't helped by calibrating it the first time, I calibrate it a second time. So far, this double calibration has made the battery work for me.

It shouldn't be necessary to go through all this and there may come a time when it doesn't do the trick but it has worked so far.

Thanks,
Richard
