wide angle

I am a videographer, editor, and producer by trade. I have always had a good eye for composition, understand lighting, exposure, but I have never thought of myself as a photographer though I have taken some excellent stills in the past. I am going to be taking some photos for a friend who does remodeling work, most of the photos will be in bathrooms and kitchens. I will be using a digital rebel xt, and was looking for any suggestions anyone may have. Some of these bathrooms are rather small so I will need to be wide since I will not have any room to back up.
