Dreamweaver CS3 Spry Menus

I am having problems with my spry menu and would be grateful for help please.

The spry menu I am using is the horizontal menu bar with several submenu items which should display vertically below the main menu item. It works okay in Firefox but when I test it in Internet Explorer I find that although the menu bar is there okay, the submenu items display horizontally below the main menu item, which looks really untidy. Can anyone tell me how to correct that, please?
