When save pictures from the web from either Photoshop CS3 or Fireworks 8, the color seems to fade.

What is the best way to retain color and save the image for the web?

I can use either Photoshop or Fireworks, whatever works best.

I know this is not a strictly Dreamweaver question, but I thought Dreamweaver people would know this answer best.

Incidentally I have Dreamweaver 8 and I work on a PowerMac G5.
