Embed Windows Media Player

I have Dreamweaver MX. I have no problem embedding Quicktime into a website. I simply go to Insert>Media>Plug-In and select the quicktime file, but when i do that with windows media files, it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions? Thanks very much in advance.
