Scroll Bar Not Scrolling.... Sometimes

hello,
i have a simple flash piece that dynamically loads .swf files into empty movie clips in my main movie. in one of the loaded swfs, i have a scrolling text box that works just fine on its own, but when it gets loaded into the main movie, it does nothing. i assume there is some line of code that i do not have. if necessary, i can post the code i have used. thanks in advance.
