Sounds like you just need to manage your code a little tighter.

You could do something like this
Anytime you nagivate to a section call a clean up function. In the cleanup function you will wanna cancel any XML loading, and clean and movieclip loaders.

I usually cancel a MC loader by removing the Movieclip I am loading into. I don't remember but this might trigger the MC Loader error handler...
