hmmm well yes, Flash can do vector based text.... I think thats what your asking....

If you had the SWF you could bring it into flash and title over it. I am not sure what you mean by "as a alpha channel" but you could use text as a matte.

I have never used Flix so I am not sure what tools it provides but I would think you will need to own flash to do this. Luckily you can download the 30 day trial and get an idea of what your looking at.
