You can save the SWFs for viewing later it can just sometimes be difficult to find them. Locate the Cache folder for your browser.

(If you're on Windows, there is usually a "Documents And Settings" folder. Inside that are several folders, one for each user ID on the computer, Inside the ID that you are using are several of the user specific folders, Cache files are USUALLY kept in "Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files" if you're using IE, I use Opera, so it's Cache folder is under Appliction Data, in an Opera Folder under Profile. You will similarly find Firefoxe's Cache in a Mozilla folder.)

The easy way to do this is to delete EVERYTHING in there (there can be thousands and thousands of files!!) and then go strait to the page that has the SWF you want to save. While it's playing, look in the Cache folder again and you will have just the files in there from that page. The SWF file or files that are running would be there, with the SWF extension. Just move them to another folder and they're yours to watch whenever you want. Just don't go re-posting them to the web without the original owner's permission!!!!

As for training, other than gotoAndLearn.com and Lynda.com, Check out www.actionscript.org (a bit dated, but some good concepts and techniques none the less) www.blog.lessrain.com, www.sonify.org, www.theflashblog.com or under google search for Macromedia Flash Tutorials and you'll find about a thousand sites.
