Animation Problem

Okay so I rigged this model that I'm going to animate, right? So anyways. I Have an IK leg rig that I set up, It works fine, its just when I move the whole model, the legs move with it, is there like any way for me to make the legs like.....'glued' to the ground were they originally were and stay there and the rest of the model keeps moving.......Until I'm ready to animate them?
