adding logo to specific portion of materia

This is likely a very basic question about materials.
I have an .obj (american football helmet) and it has multiple materials, and multiple corresponding polygon selection tags.
Two of them are the side of the helmet in which I would like to place logos. I could make new selections and do it that way, but the specular and blending and such wont match.
I am looking for a very customizable way to insert this logo realistically on the helmet.
I have R11 with all of the modules as well as BodyPaint (have not used) so if anyone has a suggestion or workflow for this technique, it would be much appreciated.
