projecting a background for particles
by Antony Buonomo on Jun 18, 2009 at 2:42:46 pm

Hi

I am adding tracer fire to some footage being shot at the moment. It is a couple of old biplanes in a mock dogfight. I have had some pleasing results in After Effects but I think proper 3-D particles from Cinema4D will look better. There is no way of capturing real camera data via tracking (I think) from the footage, however I don't think it would be too difficult to manually keyframe the emitter if I could see the footage inside C4D. Can someone suggest a setup where I could see the background video projected somehow, thereby enabling me to tweak the emitter position and rotation?

Thanks

A
