splinmotion must be gone then. I know I had it but I don't anymore which means it stopped working at some point. There is something from naam that still works in 10.5 which does the same thing if I recall splinmotion correctly. It's called splinimator and it's available here http://www.xs4all.nl/~naam/techniques.html a bit down the page there are 3 plugins...
