"I have this image that I want to have in 3 layers in Photoshop from C4D 10.5:
1. The full cube with its reflection and AO on one layer.
2. The disc on another with an area for the cube already cut out and transparent to see the floor.
3. The complete floor on its own with nothing on it- no reflections nor hole where the cube will go.
I've been trying to figure this out forever- tried object buffers, multilayer files but to no avail. Best I get is one layer"
You need to render more than once, but 1 & 2 can be accomplished in one go. You just need object buffers (comp tags and object buffer passes) for 1 & 2. For one and two, you will use the buffers to precompose in AE or another compositor. For 3 you will have to render again without the cube.
