A meeting reminder. Thursday October 15 at Ozzie's

AZ Final Cut Pro User Group Meeting!
Thursday, 10/15/2009
Broadcast Rentals
2343 W. University Dr., Suite 101
Tempe, AZ 85281 (MAP)
doors 5:30, meeting 6-9:00pm.

Canon DSLR HD
Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameras are rapidly adopting high-definition video. The Canon 5D MkII made a huge splash at NAB this year. It seemed that everywhere you looked, there was a Canon DSLR outfitted with a shoulder rig / follow focus / rods / mattebox.

The allure of using off-the-shelf existing 35mm still camera lenses is very attractive to many. And the form factor makes these cameras very compact compared to an ENG style camera (as well as presenting some challenges). Also, despite the H.264 compression, the quality of the image may surprise you.

Earl Sisson of Broadcast Rentals will demonstrate these cameras, show off some stunning footage they've shot, and walk us through the Final Cut workflow for these cameras.

Come see the future of video - in a still camera!

Parking / Directions
Broadcast Rentals is on the South side of University, 1 block East of the Hohokam Expressway (143). Ample parking is available.

Here's a Google Map of the area

Violence may not be the answer but it sure cuts down on the questions.
