can you get audio automation from FCP to logic pro 8

does anybody know how you get audio automation from FCP into logic pro 8...I know it works in soundtrack pro but have had such headaches with that app that I gave up...have a pretty large project and the idea of redoing all the audio levels from scratch is a bit daunting....or do I just pay digidesign their blood$$$$ and get the DVtoolkit
