Hi Andrew,
We just got a copy of Premiere 2.0 here, so I'll give it a try soon. I'll let you know what I find as far as switching between capture and playback.
We have a beta release (1.1.227) of the software with some changes to the deck control. Does your DVCPro deck support auto edits? We had a DVCPro deck in and found that some of them don't support auto edits, so we added the crash record ability to the beta firmware.
Let me know if the beta version works better for you. You have to use get version and dial in 1.1.227.
