Xsan: Best practices for admin and backup
by

Hi
Searched the forums but didn't find a specific answer about this. Getting on board of the Xsan admin recently i was hoping i could get some pointers on what to look out for and what are good practices to get things running efficiently and be prepared if there are problems.
From what i can read a good practice is to use the cvgather. But are there some other things to look out for.
How about backing up the actual data? An LTO solution? Moving it to a different storage (USB/Firewire)? Any recommendations? Any recommended brands?
Thank you!
Arturo.
