I just read the thread a bit more closely... and the promise guys seriously thought a faulty drive was causing dropped frames in pro res??? that is ridiculous, any good raid will be able to run at the very minimum 100-200mb/s with a failed drive or while it is rebuilding. I know they say there is "degradation" when it is rebuilding, but come on, it can't play pro res in a degraded state? it says something about promise doesn't it?

---oh, make sure your drive has its ethernet plugged in, these things don't work right without ethernet plugged in... nice isn't it?
