Latisha CarrMesh to wireframe transition animation

I'm currently working on my first demo reel and I want to add a transition from the mesh to showing the wireframe of the model. Is there anyway to do this in 3D Max or do I render out two animations one of the mesh then one of the wireframe and take them into an editing program?
