Axis contraint snapping

Hi. I am a Maya user and cant figure something out in Max
Axis vert snapping based on another vert.
In maya you simply move the selected vert along the desired axis (lets say Y) and middle mouse click the other vert to move the selected vert to the desired Y axis height.
How would I go about doing the same thing in Max
