Unable to see materials in view ports.
by Tia Bradford on May 25, 2009 at 11:47:27 pm

Hello,

This may be a very simple solution, but I have not been able to find the answer anywhere else. I am using 3ds Max 2009. When I apply a material in my material editor, then apply it to my object in the scene I cannot see the material updated on the object in the viewport, unless I am in active shade mode. This is not convenient because changes can not be made from this view mode. The only way I can see the material is when I render it out. Can't seem to figure out what has changed to make this happen. Thanks.
