3D Studio Max Lens Effect Glow

This is an easy question but one that escapes myself. I have to do a project with lens effect glow. Easy enough. I noticed though using 3DS 2008 that the glow animates and I can't get it to stop. I just want a simple glow. Like a light. I thought I turned off or down the motion effect glow gives you but nothing works.
I am using gaseous and gradient. Any suggestions?
